Review by hotel critic
Our family vacation at Costa D'Oiro Ambiance Village was a blend of ups and downs, much like catching the perfect wave. The breakfast spread was a definite high point, offering a delightful array of fresh treats to savor, including a surprising touch of honey liquor. As a surf instructor from Milan, I appreciated the quick access to Praia do Camilo beach, perfect for catching stunning sunrises and exploring the coastal trails. However, the lack of a bustling village atmosphere was a downside. The name can be misleading as the hotel comprises scattered studios, requiring guests to trek back for meals. Despite this, the cozy room with a lovely deck overlooking the pool was a nice retreat after a day of surfing. Our family enjoyed the leisurely breakfasts, one dinner evening with mouthwatering Risotto, and the warmth of the staff who made us feel truly welcome. Plus, the themed nights, especially the one with Fado music, added a unique touch to our stay. A little different from our usual experiences but already considering a return. Highly recommend for a laid-back family escape.
